Principal's Welcome

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all students that would like to come back to school and work towards earning their high school diploma. The traditional methods of education are not for everyone. The Educational Opportunity Center offers committed students another choice and another chance to complete the first part of their educational journey and earn a high school diploma.

In 1990, I was asked to start this program for Steuben County. The combined efforts of students, teachers, and our community have produced an excellent high school completion program. The school maintains high standards, and these standards are enforced and reviewed periodically by a committee comprised of community members.

The Educational Opportunity Center continues to practice excellence in education for students that choose to be successful and complete the work necessary to earn a high school diploma. I am proud to be a part of a team that invests so much effort into helping young adults be successful.

Welcome to the Educational Opportunity Center!

The Educational Opportunity Center (E.O.C.) is an alternative high school designed to meet the needs of students whose educational needs are different from the traditional high school student.  The E.O.C. tries  to catch the kids that slip through the cracks of the  traditional educational system.  The E.O.C. practices a holistic approach to education in a learning center enironment.
It is the policy of The Metropolitan School District of Steuben County to provide equal access to all employment and educational opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, creed or ancestry, age, gender, marital status, or disability.
